Daniel Grassl invited to the Vatican by the Pope

Daniel Grassl has been invited to an audience with the Pope.

Grassl was told that Pope Leo XIV had watched his program set to the soundtrack of the movie Conclave at the Olympics (and enjoyed it) — and is now inviting the Italian team to the Vatican on April 9.

According to Daniel, the Pope is writing a book (!) about the Olympics (!!) and wants to meet with the athletes.

Grassl jokes that he'll bring his cardinal costume from his free skate. Just in case.
